Chapter 17.1 - Shopping Mall (1)
Su Jinbei wrapped herself tightly in her blanket and peacefully went back to sleep. It was the ringtone of her phone that later woke her up.
“Hello…”
“What’s going on, why are you still asleep at ten o’clock.”
“Xia Lu?” Su Jinbei opened her eyes, “How do you have the time to call me?”
The person on the other end laughed, “I just finished filming. How are you? Is your body better now?”
“It’s been fine for a while. Don’t worry.”
“Oh, you, you didn’t tell me that you were in a car accident before. When I came back from the mountains, you were already discharged.” Xia Lu said, dissatisfied, “In all seriousness, you’re not allowed to hide things from me next time.”
“I was being considerate since you’re so busy. Besides, it wasn’t that big of a deal. I didn’t want to tire you out making you fly back and forth.”
“I don’t care, you can’t do this in the future. Telling Ah Ying but not telling me, you are so biased.”
Su Jinbei yawned and sat up from the bed, “That’s different, Ah Ying was in the city at that time.”
“Hmph, you don’t need to explain.” Xia Lu said, “Where are you now?”
“In Beijing.”
“What!” Xia Lu was surprised, “You’re in Beijing? I am also in Beijing.”
Su Jinbei smiled, “Yo, what a coincidence, babe, come, let’s meet up.”
“OK, where are you, I’ll come to you.”
“I’m…” Su Jinbei paused, remembering that she was in the Zhou Residence that was not appropriate for seeing friends, so she said, “Let me come to you instead.”

Su Jinbei changed her clothes, packed up and went out.
“Miss Su, where are you going, I will ask the driver to take you there.”

The butler had a car over and also assigned two bodyguards to Su Jinbei.
Su Jinbei got in the car and also told the butler, “My friend has some troubles. Could you please tell my grandma that I won’t come back for lunch?”

The car drove away from the Zhou Residence, and the driver drove to the place that Su Jinbei told him. Su Jinbei sat in the car and put on a mask, waiting for Xia Lu’s employee to come over.
“Knock, knock, knock.” The window was knocked.
Su Jinbei rolled down the window, “Xiao Zi.”
Xia Lu’s assistant Xiao Zi was outside the car.
“Jinbei jie, Xia Lu jie booked a private room, I’ll lead you in from the staff passage.”
“OK.” Su Jinbei said and turned around, relaying to the two bodyguards, “You guys wait here for me.”
“Miss Su, let us follow you.”
“No, I’m meeting my friend, it won’t be good if you follow, I will call if something happens.”
“Yes.”
Su Jinbei put on her sunglasses and followed Xiao Zi.
