Chapter 3.1 - Rang Yi Rang (1)
Cong Rong had always thought that Zhong Zhen's words that day were intentionally to infuriate her, but no one knew that his matchmaker's heart was so real, and he was really going to do it.
When Wen Shaoqing checked on his patients in the wards the next morning, he saw Zhong Zhen leaning towards him, and asked, "Boss, do you have a girlfriend?"
Wen Shaoqing glanced at him, "No, what's wrong?"
Zhong Zhen listened to him with a wide grin, "then let me introduce my cousin to you. I have a cousin waiting to get married, the most important thing is my cousin..."
Wen Shaoqing put the pen in his chest pocket and looked at him. "Zhong Zhen, even if I marry your cousin, I still want to see you submit your thesis papers in my mailbox next Monday."
Zhong Zhen had a headache when he mentioned the thesis, but what he was most concerned about now was not the thesis, "I don't mean that... I really want to introduce you to my cousin as a girlfriend."
"You don't have to worry about it." Wen Shaoqing paused and turned to look at him, "I have someone I like."
"Ah?" Zhong Zhen looked disappointed. "Aren't you single?"
Wen Shaoqing smiled, "Can't you have someone you like when you are single? Why? Your cousin cannot find a boyfriend?"
Zhong Zhen has always been expressive and is known as a walking emoticon. Hearing this, his eyes opened wide and he began to explain: "How could it be? How could it be? I was afraid that you were too lonely and that’s why I thought to introduce my cousin to you. By the way, do you know if our hospital has any male doctors who are around the same age as you, and is single? It’s okay to be one or two years younger than you."
Wen Shaoqing was speechless, "It's too hard to study medicine, and that’s why you plan to switch to matchmaking?"
"That's not it!" Zhong Zhen sighed old-fashionedly. "Why can't my cousin's, such a good woman, find a man? Teacher Wen, my cousin is a really good person. Can you really just think about it?"
Wen Shaoqing closed the medical record folder, "I changed my mind."
Zhong Zhen was overjoyed when he heard Wen Shaoqing's words.
"Your thesis’ deadline shouldn’t be the weekend, it must appear in my mailbox before you end your work on Friday." After that, he chuckled and continued to check on his patients.
Zhong Zhen squatted at the corner with a resentful face and acted as an expressionless emoticon.
It has been snowing for several days, the road is covered by ice, the weather is bad, the road conditions are worse with lamentable traffic jams, and Cong Rong has to take subways to get on and off work.
Although Cong Rong found a seat during the peak hours after getting off work, she still felt a little uneasy. She couldn't help but to look up and saw a man standing in front of her. He was tilting his head to see the screens above the subway seats.
Cong Rong could not believe it. How coincidental.
Subway comes at a frequency of two-minute, with a dozen cabins, and so many people are in each of the cabins, even if you deliberately make an appointment to meet in the subway, you will find it hard to find each other.
Such a coincidence happened, is it really not a good omen?
After another stop, the two got off the train one after the other, went out, and went back to the apartment. In order to avoid embarrassment, Cong Rong, who was walking behind, turned to the neighbourhood supermarket and strolled around for a while before going home.
Cong Rong worked overtime until late that night and almost couldn't get up the next morning. After realising she has nothing better to do, she continued to sleep peacefully until 10am before going out in a hurry.
She didn't wake up fully, and when the lift door closed, only did she suddenly realise that there was a person in the lift, and also…
The dog seemed quite impressed with her, sticking her tongue out. Cong Rong’s body went stiff and was forced into the corner of the lift by the furry big white creature. She looked at the big dog with gawking eyes while leaning against the wall of the lift while trying to be cautious. The dog's owner did not take the initiative to let the big white furry ball take the safe passage this time. He turned a blind eye to the situation in front of him. She endured her stress for a long time and finally compromised, "Wen Shaoqing, let it go away! I am afraid of dogs!"
Wen Shaoqing looked at her, quiet for a moment, raised his eyebrows, slowly smiled and said: "Are you not continuing to pretend that you don’t know me?"
Cong Rong bit her lip and glared at him with anger.
Wen Shaoqing chuckled, and then sayed with doubt: "I always have a question to ask you."
Cong Rong stiffened more in the corner of the lift. "Ask!"
"I heard..." Wen Shaoqing paused and stared at Cong Rong with interest for a long time before releasing his query. "You told others that you like me?"
Cong Rong's face felt hot, and she immediately said, "Nothing like that!"
Since reuniting with him in front of the supermarket in the community, Cong Rong has always pretended not to know him, because she was afraid that he would ask such a question. She would never have expected him to really ask her about it.
Wen Shaoqing frowned lightly, "Oh? If that's the case..."
As he said, he loosened the collar around Big Dog's neck, and Big Dog immediately rushed to Cong Rong.
Cong Rong couldn’t tolerate it and screamed, "It's true, it's true! Move it away!"
